Here's some records from the doggie world:
Tallest Dog Breed: The Great Dane is the tallest breed. A 42.12 inches (107 cm) dog named «Gibson» from California, USA is the tallest dog alive today.
World's Heaviest Dog: The Saint Bernards dog breed holds the record for heaviest dog. Benedictine, a saint bernard dog of this breed was 357 pounds (162 kilos). Another breed that is known for is weight is the english masstiff, and the heaviest mastiff that ever lived was 350,5 pounds (159 kilos).
Smallest breed: The Chihuahua is the world's smallest dog breed. The smallest dog that ever lived was a chihuahua, and its length was only 5.98 inches (15.2 cm) in adulthood, and another dog of the same breed holds the record for lowest height and lowest weight, respectively 4.72 inches (12 cm) and 1.43 pounds (650 gram). That's a huge contrast to the heaviest and tallest dogs as mentioned above!
Most Intelligent Dog Breed: The Border Collie is regarded the most intelligent dog breed in the world. They were bred for their great herding skills. Other dogs that are known for its intelligence is the poodle and the german shepherd dog.
Most Popular Breed: Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog breed in the US, in Canada, in Europe and they are the most numerous dogs in the world.
Most Agressive: The Dachshund and Chihuahua is quite dangerous despite their size. They might not kill you, but they will bite - more often than other breeds. Actually, pitbull type breeds aren't as agressive as the media would like us to believe. Some particular pitbull dogs may be agressive, but that's because of bad breeding practises and/or because their owners didn't take the necessary precautions. The American Pitbull Terrier and the Bull terrier often make great family pets, although they can be very agressive towards other dogs. However, all dogs should be regarded as potentially dangerous. A tiny Pomeranian once attacked and killed a human child, and no breed or dog should be regarded 100% safe with children.
We adopted our beautiful Anatolian Pyrenees a year ago at the local shelter. She is gentle, sweet and loving with her family but very wary of strangers.
My adorable Irish setter called Darcy wea the apple of my eye, he was very funny and very adorable, he would guard our chickens from thw cat that lived next door, forgetting totally that e was a gun dog, he loved my grandson who was only 19 months old and they were inseprable from my grandsons point of view, he would look out of the front window twitching the net curtain as he was trying to be so nosey, i had to make sure the neighbours new it was him and not me, he was certainly no guard dog as he would hide behind you if he thought someone was in the house. he made us laugh nearly every day at the antics he used to get up to.
Just recently got this little girl I like to call Button, because she's as cute as a button :) Her personality is PERFECT she is extremly loving and so easy to train its ridiculous. I have had her for a total of 5 days and in that time she has only not used her puppy pad once.
They were created in Canada and can currently only purchased from me, Laura Kelsch at Hammerhead Kennels. They are 25lbs and under.
Yes, the CW can be aggressive, but the best thing to do is throw all reputation out of the window and concentrate on training the aggression out of them, from puppy hood. Smacking, slapping and beating will not improve behaviour, but will cause them to turn on you at a later stage, mainly in adulthood.
