Bergamasco

Bergamasco is an exquisite herding dog. They are a type of pastoral dog often trained in herding.

They do not shed. The Bergamasco's demands noticeably little brushing.

The breed have a median need for endurance training.

The Bergamasco's may be suspicious of unknown persons. Not generally dog aggressive. These dogs are noticeably friendly towards children and they are an exquisite choice for families with small children.

This breed may bark, but generally not excessively.

Source: the breed comes from Italy. Even so, they are rarely present at Rome dog shows.

Bergamasco grouping: Bergamasco is approved in the Federation Cynologique Internationale registry. The breed is acknowledged in the section «Sheepdogs» (1.1) in the grouping «Sheepdogs and Cattle Dogs». Federation Cynologique Internationale label for bergamasco is 194 and was added to the registry 1989-11-27. United Kennel Club involves the breed as «Herding Dogs» in their registry.

Males can weigh 70 to 84 pounds. Female dogs grow up to 57 to 71 pounds. The dog has mid-sized dangling ears. The legs is frequently of average length. The Little tail is hanging low. Its muzzle is rather short. The fur is of medium length.
