The breed is acknowledged in the section «Kromfohrländer» (9.10) in the group «Companion and Toy Dogs». Federation Cynologique Internationale i.d. for kromfohrlander is 192 and was added to the catalog 1998-10-12. United Kennel Club involves the breed as «Terriers» in their catalog.
