The breed Porcelaine are scent hounds and is a magnificent hunting dog. Most scenthounds are used for hunting in packs.

The Porcelaine's are generally surprisingly by nature and will not behave aggressively towards strangers. They are consistently friendly with other dogs.

First bred in: this dog was refined in France. However, they are not a common sigth in Paris.

Porcelaine classification: Porcelaine is included in the World Canine Organisation register. The breed is recognized in the section «Scenthounds» (6.1) in the classification «Scenthounds and Related Breeds». World Canine Organisation identification for porcelaine is 30 and was added to the register 1964-10-19. United Kennel Club approves the breed as «Scenthounds» in their register.
