
Slovensky Cuvac is a flock guardian. They have been used to guard flocks of sheep, but are even capable of guarding other species of livestock.
These dogs can be used as guarddogs. They may be trained to target the arms and legs of intruders.
The dogs is sometimes noticeably suspicious and will often show aggresivity towards uninvited persons. Can be a bit dog aggressive.
Source: was first created in Slovakia. Even so, they are rarely present at Bratislava dog shows.
Slovensky Cuvac group: Slovensky Cuvac is acknowledged in the Federation Cynologique Internationale registry. The breed is involved in the section «Sheepdogs» (1.1) in the group «Sheepdogs and Cattle Dogs». Federation Cynologique Internationale label for slovensky cuvac is 142 and was added to the registry 1965-08-18. United Kennel Club incorporates the breed as «Guardian Dogs» in their registry.
